The 6 hour course presents an overview of neuroplasticity and the treatment of persistent pain, a discussion of how to implement this in a variety of treatment settings and an introduction to use of the the Neuroplastic Transformation Workbook in conjunction with the neuroplastix.com website. The following topics will be explored in a dynamic program that will allow practitioners to work with patients as soon as they complete this training. Each section of the workbook will be presented, side by side with live internet demonstration of the use of the website and the workbook. Trainees will be shown how to use Videos, animations and graphics to teach patients how to use neuroplasticity in their own care. Both website and workbook will be keyed to each other covering the topics of Introduction…Touch…Neuroplastic Brain and Body…Pain Gone Wild…Soothing…Mood and Pain…Pleasure. Case profiles of patients who have successfully utilized this approach to improve their pain treatment will be presented. The program will emphasize Neuroplastic Transformation as the core treatment for persistent pain disorders. Training will focus upon self-efficacy and self-directed care, with roles of patients shifting from passive recipient of care to active director of their own treatment.
